Contact SupportNo. The TipTopTemp is a mechanical temperature responsive top damper.
Use Find My Grill on the Home page to choose a grill style. If your grill or smoker is not listed, contact TipTopTemp before ordering.
If the fire gets too large too quickly, the grill or smoker can overshoot before things settle down. A controlled start makes the device easier to dial in.
TipTopTemp changes airflow at the top of the grill or smoker, but the desired temperature may require more air. If the TipTopTemp is open and temperature is falling, open the lower vents in small increments until temp is achieved.
Cooking residue can interfere with moving parts. Clean the mechanism.
For fit questions, installation help, setup problems, or replacement part questions, email TipTopTemp and tell us which grill or smoker you are using.
Include your grill model, the top vent style, and a photo if fit or installation is the question. That makes it easier to get you the right answer.
